RLAs are members of the residence hall staff which includes Resident Assistants, Housing Ambassadors, and Facility Assistants. They are essentially the role models for all incoming freshman, transfer students, and upperclassman to look up to.
RLAs are typically asked to:
-Help and advise students; individually and in groups
-Develop and promote opportunities for academic, intellectual, cultural, and social growth of residents
-Assist in the administration of residence hall operations
-Support and implement university policies
-Serve as a communication link between residents, the Department of Housing & Residence Life and the university
