Starting August 24th, through August 25th, Dr. Andrew Torget, a class of students, and select members of the University of North Texas community will attempt to set a world record for the longest continual history class and have it recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records (GBWR). Dr. Torget will teach his semester-long Texas history course in a single, 24-hour marathon session, and students that reach the milestone along with him will share in the accomplishment and record.

To verify that the record is set within the conditions outlined by GBWR, the UNT Libraries are seeking both record setters and additional volunteers to witness the attempt. Participants are not required to be enrolled at UNT in order to attempt or witness the record.
