UNT Industrial Assessment Center (IAC): Application for Student Employment

The UNT IAC trains students to conduct energy audits for industrial manufacturing facilities to help them reduce costs and be more competitive. The assessments focus on reducing utility costs, increasing energy efficiency, enhancing productivity, and minimizing waste.
  • IAC students are employed as student technicians, and work about 5 hours per week.
  • Each student will participate in 2-5 industrial visits each semester.
  • After the assessments, students complete data analysis and write reports at other times on their own schedule.
  • Students receive formal training and certifications that are often valued by future employers.
  • IAC students are typically asked to commit to participating for a minimum of 2 semesters.
  • Many of our industrial partners offer internship opportunities to IAC students.
