Leadership Development Funding Request Form

Applications must be submitted to the Office of Student Engagement at least 30 days before the travel date. Proof and verification will be required for approval.

Please attach the itinerary, your presentation (if you are presenting), an invitation to attend the conference, and any additional information related to the event.
Submitting this form does not guarantee funding. This is an application and any decisions related to this process will be communicated to the email provided in submissions.
This request is a needs-based process and funds are limited to 2 members per organization.
Each student can submit this form once per academic year (timeline: 08/01-07/31).
The limit per request is $500 and does not apply to hotel/lodging, travel, flights, food, etc. This fund will only cover registration fees.
If you receive funding, you must share the knowledge gained within two (2) weeks of returning.

Student Certification and Approvals
With my signature, I certify that I am seeking leadership development travel funds as a member of the enrolled student community at the University of North Texas at Dallas.

As such I understand it is my responsibility, if approved for travel funds, that I will submit a 500-word reflection essay on how they will implement what they learned in the rest of their academic experience at UNT Dallas. Each student can only utilize funds from this fund once per academic year.

If you attend a conference on behalf of a student organization OR fraternity/sorority, you will present/report at the next Student Organization Presidents' Council within two weeks of returning.
If you are attending for another reason/requirement, please submit a reflection essay to the Office of Student Engagement within two weeks of returning.
