The Presidential Scholars Program within the Department of Student Leadership & Success at UNT Dallas is for first-time incoming college freshmen who have been admitted to the University of North Texas at Dallas. The application closes on 4/11/25 at 11:59pm.
 

Eligibility Criteria 

Basic eligibility criteria for applicants: 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (unweighted).

  • Involvement in school and/or community activities.

  • Must be a first-time incoming freshman who has been admitted to UNT Dallas.

  • Submission of a complete application including the 2 recommendation forms submitted by your recommenders also by 4/11/25 at 11:59pm.

     

Application Requirements  

  • Contact information. 

  • UNT Dallas Student ID.  

  • Upload a copy of unofficial Fall 2024 high school transcript (PDF).

  • Upload copy of SAT/ACT test scores (PDF) *optional but highly encouraged for consideration. 

  • Resume (PDF).

  • Submission of 2 recommendation forms on your behalf from 2 different recommenders.

  • Responses to four short essay questions.

  • Response to one long essay question. 

     

Your recommendation forms should be completed by a teacher, counselor, principal, coach, employer, mentor, or other individual who is not related to you. It should not be written by a parent/guardian or family member. Your recommenders are required to submit their forms via the link below, also by 4/11/25 at 11:59pm. You can copy and paste to send the link to them. 

Candidates who have been selected to interview will be notified after 4/11/25. All notifications will be sent via e-mail. Please make sure your email is submitted correctly.
