UNT ENGAGE Fall 2025-Spring 2026 Student Application

Welcome to the ENGAGE Application Process! Before you begin, please read the following information to ensure that the entire process is completed. Please allow yourself 15-20 minutes to complete the information.

Before you begin, make certain that you meet the following criteria:
  • I have applied and have been accepted to the University of North Texas.
  • I have two participants (former teachers, employers, or other significant individuals other than relatives who have known me for at least one year) that will fill in the two electronic Letters of Recommendation found here https://unt.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3z7wjwn8pcUxsrk. Please note: both completed Letters of Recommendation must be received by UNT ENGAGE for the admission process to be complete. You will receive a confirmation email when each Letter of Recommendation is successfully submitted on your behalf.
  • I have a current (within the last three years) or am in the process of getting a Psychological Evaluation completed.

If you meet the above criteria, please make sure that you have the following documentation ready to upload to this application:
  • A copy of the letter/email stating my acceptance into UNT
  • Unofficial transcript(s) from high school and any previous college(s)/university(ies)
  • Letter of Intent - Describe in 2-3 paragraphs in your own words why you want to participate in ENGAGE

After your application materials are received, you will be contacted via a secure encrypted email in order for you to submit a copy of your most recent, completed, psychological evaluation (within the last 3 years). The evaluation should be printed on official letterhead and contain the psychologist’s contact information. The evaluation should include a diagnosis; academic levels in reading, writing, and math; any mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, etc.); and possible communication and processing challenges you may have. NOTE: FIE documentation will not count, you must provide a psychological evaluation from a qualified diagnostician.

When the admission process closes, all ENGAGE application and supporting documentation should have been submitted. After the closure date, ENGAGE staff will review and contact eligible students for an official interview.

Those officially admitted into the ENGAGE program will receive an acceptance letter via email on official WISE letterhead. Those that are placed on our waitlist will receive an email stating they are on the waitlist and will receive the official letter once there is a spot available.
